    OUR NEW STARS

    Nina Vanina (Moscow):

I came to Unicon on my friend’s recommendation, passed several interviews, and here I am, working at Unicon for one year already. What I like most here is a friendly team and clear prospects for personal and career growth. Working at Unicon I have plenty of opportunities to gain valuable experience and practical knowledge in the areas of audit, RAS and IFRS. I think that Unicon is a good start for graduates who wish to become auditors and successfully work their way up. I believe that diligence, ability to learn and stress resistance are vital for success in this profession. As far as I am concerned, after a year of work I managed to deepen my knowledge of accounting under RAS and IFRS and develop soft skills essential for an auditor.

    Nikolay Kolesnikov (Moscow):

I learned about Unicon from a published vacancy, and joined it after several successful interviews. In my first year I was lucky to participate in interesting, large-scale audit projects. In addition, I have gained invaluable hands-on audit experience in different accounting areas. In my opinion, high professionalism, excellent communication skills and attentiveness are of primary importance for success in the audit profession. What I value most in our company is really plentiful opportunities for fast career growth and development. I would willingly recommend Unicon to young specialists, as it offers an excellent chance to master all accounting areas during one or two years.

    Tatyana Korneeva (Moscow):

I heard about Unicon in my first years at the university from a specialist who worked for this company. I personally acquainted myself with the company later: I studied the website and communicated with administrative specialists. After graduation, I passed several interviews and became a member of the close-knit Unicon audit family. After one year of work I expanded my knowledge of audit and accounting, learned to prioritise the set tasks, gained more confidence as a specialist and appreciated the significance of teamwork. To my mind, the main wealth of Unicon is its employees — it is very rewarding to work among professionals sharing with you their invaluable experience! I would certainly recommend Unicon to graduates and young specialists: the professional environment here is so conducive for building up experience and developing professionally and personally! After all, career progression depends, first of all, on the employees themselves. I believe that an auditor keen to succeed should be ambitious, energetic and interested in what he or she is doing. Besides, it is important to be responsive and responsible in any assignment trusted to you by the company.

    Evgenia Gazizova (Saint-Petersburg):

I learned about Unicon at my prior workplace (my speciality was audit and accounting). When the Unicon HR manager called me and invited for a job interview, I gladly responded. I have been working with Unicon for 2 years already. During that period I was lucky to work on many interesting projects, enhanced my RAS expertise and acquired practical IFRS reporting skills. The main asset of the company is, of course, people who work here. My colleagues are always ready to help and guide me, and I always learn something new from them. To my mind, if a young auditor wants to be successful, he or she should have, along with deep professional knowledge, advanced communication skills, composure and ’helicopter view‘. I can recommend Unicon as a career springboard: in here, you have fantastic opportunities for professional development, get valuable experience and meet new people.

    Ekaterina Kharlamova (Moscow):

I came to Unicon because it was recommended to me. After a half year incumbent period, I keep on improving in many aspects. Although I am still a newcomer, I think that I have managed to learn many things, for example, the seemingly familiar Excel has demonstrated absolutely new capabilities of which I have never known. I like our team very much, a professional approach to colleagues and clients that is adopted here. In a company like that, you get excellent experience both in terms of career progression and interpersonal communication. I would certainly advise graduates to come to Unicon and start their career here. What qualities are required to become a good professional? In my opinion, the future auditor should be a results-oriented professional with strong communication skills.

    Nikolay Khasanov (Moscow):

When I was looking for a job I got a call from the Unicon HR Department and was invited for an interview, which was a success. So I joined the company where I have been working for nearly a year. At Unicon, I have developed diverse practical skills and expanded my knowledge of audit and accounting. What I value most in my work is the experience gained from project to project. I can definitely recommend Unicon to new entrants because in our company one can build up audit experience fairly fast thanks to the mentorship system. To reach the heights of the profession, a new auditor, in my opinion, should be diligent, capable of solving the set tasks quickly, be communicative and reserved at the same time.

    Arina Tikhonova (Moscow):

I placed my CV on hh.ru, passed all interviews and have been working for Unicon since September 2013. A year of work with this remarkable company has taught me to apply in practice theoretical knowledge in accounting, analysis and audit, and simultaneously enrich this knowledge. It has opened an opportunity to learn to understand the clients’ business and maintain productive communication. I believe that to succeed in audit, one needs to have the following important qualities: professional competence, self-discipline, readiness to respond to the needs of seniors, positive attitude, productive communication within the team and with the client, as well as the capacity to delegate authority and exercise control (as auditors are often entrusted with audit management functions). I think that every employee of Unicon is a talent: the ability to combine professional activities and other aspects of development is a distinctive feature of my colleagues. It has become a set phrase already that the main asset of each company is its people. No wonder, the Unicon team is what I like most of all: my colleagues are well-read, career-driven, ambitious, kind, responsive and positive! Is it worth going to Unicon? Sure! This in a wonderful start for young specialists, especially for those who seek development opportunities and are ready to meet a challenge.
